Monthly Archives: November 2013
“And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare His works with rejoicing.” Psalm 107:22
It is a most wonderful time of the year! Our family loves this season of change—the color, the falling leaves, the smell of fire in the air, big bowls of soup, pulling out the hoodies and the blankets and the boots, cuddling, cocoa, and the anticipation of time with family as the holidays draw near! Which means, that yes, we are listening to Christmas music at our house already! We want to wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving! We are so grateful for your love and support!
This last month has also been filled to the brim with travel and teaching! Thank you for praying us through an incredibly FULL 5 weeks! We give thanks for all the ways our Good Shepherd kept us and enabled us to follow through on each and every commitment! We were blessed in enormous ways as we prepared, packed, and traveled many, many miles! We met such wonderful brothers and sisters in Christ who encouraged us tremendously! Kevan was busy with teaching and preaching—speaking over 14 times on many different topics (creation, evangelism, the gospel, little known people of the Bible, LIFE) to both believers and unbelievers. I was so grateful to partner with other women while in Indiana and do some teaching myself—it had been a while since I had the privilege of opening the Word of God to instruct and encourage young women. I took the hour to share what God says about their femininity and beauty—how He desires their beauty to be “all glorious within” using Psalm 45, Ezekiel 16, and Proverbs 31. As we pushed our way through October and part of November we were very aware that YOU ALL were praying for us!
We continue to stand for LIFE each week at our local abortion mill and urge you to continue to pray heartily for this part of our ministry! We have attached a video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34wAgCfAJAg) and encourage you to watch it and then pass it on to your church leaders! This issue of abortion is not complicated or justifiable in any sense of the word. It is evil in God’s sight and must never be ignored…whether through fear or complacency. As believers we are commanded to speak up on behalf of those who have an appointment with death (Proverbs 31:8)! Thank you for the many notes of encouragement to continue ”continuing on” and for telling us that you are praying. Prayer is vital. And so is your voice. And so is your presence. Your presence outside of abortion mills. Babies are killed there! Daily! Being pro-life is not just participating in an event—it is a daily position one must take and it involves action! Pray daily. Pray big prayers. Talk about the atrocity with others.—do you know where the abortion mills are in your area? And ask God to use your life to make a difference!
