What We Believe
Concerning the Scriptures The Holy Bible is the final authority and foundation for faith, doctrine, and practice. The Lord Himself inspired these Scriptures. He is the Author of the Bible. In my life and ministry, I trust and use the King James Bible.
Concerning the LORD God The God of the Bible is the only true and living God. He is a Triune God, one God in three Persons—God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is infinite, eternal, unchangeable, all-knowing, all-powerful, and everywhere all the time.
Concerning Creation God created the heaven and the earth, including all life, by direct act in six literal days about 6,000 years ago. The account of Genesis, including the Creation, Fall, and worldwide Flood, simply relates the truth of the matter to us, providing a trustworthy framework, which stands on the Word of God, and is supported by true science.
Concerning the Devil Satan is an actual being, created by God, who rebelled against God. He and his angels who rebelled against the Lord were cast out of heaven, and now has a reserved place in the lake of fire.Since then, he has been the personal spiritual adversary of God and of mankind as well.Satan is a liar and the father of lies.
Concerning Man God created Adam and Eve in His own image. He made them with the freedom to choose, and they chose to rebel against Him.This sin introduced the Curse into creation, just like God had warned them. God must punish sin. Death and Hell is the penalty. Because all people are descended from Adam and Eve, all are sinners, by nature and choice. Our fallen state is the basis for the need of salvation for all mankind.
Concerning the Redeeming Work of Christ Jesus Christ our Lord paid the price for sin by willingly giving Himself as a sinless Substitute. Christ shed His precious blood when He died on the cross for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day, according to the Scriptures. He ascended bodily to Heaven, where He intercedes on behalf of believers. He is preparing a place for those who trust in Him as their Saviour, and He is coming again.Because of what He did on the cross, mankind now has a way to be saved from the punishment sin.
Concerning Salvation Salvation is not by anything I can do to earn it. It is the gift of God by grace. It is received when a sinner puts his trust alone in the finished work of Calvary. All who trust in the Saviourhave the blood of Jesus Christ put to their account. Their sins are forgiven, and they are born into the family of God.
Concerning Church God commands His children to spend time with others who know Him.Christians should desire to worship God and fellowship with fellow Christians at a local church where the Bible is preached and taught. In this way, believers can be discipled effectually, learning more of the Lord, and be encouraged by others to love and follow Him. The local church serves as a body, working together to equip and edify believers, to serve God together, to gather and worship the Lord, and then go out and stand for righteousness and win the lost for Jesus Christ.
Concerning Evangelism Right before Jesus Christ ascended, He gave the Great Commission.Christians are to preach the Gospel, evangelizing the lost, then disciple those who believe, and teach them to observe His words.Until His return, we are to be about the business of “preaching Christ,” as is our duty and privilege.
Concerning Future Events I believe in the imminent pre-tribulation rapture of the saints, and the visible pre-millenial return of our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ.
